Nominate Socotra Island to become one of the New 7th Wonders of natural monuments and sites.
Yemen is pursuing to have Socotra Island become one of the New 7th Wonders of natural.
So we are urging all user and visitors to support such effort by participating in the nomination, and nominate Socotra Island by following these steps:-
- Click on the link which you will find down this page.
- Fill out the form by the user email address and user's country
- There are 7 spots available for nomination, and the user has to fill up at least one of them. (you could nominate Socotra all the seven spots)
- The user has to choose the country of the nominee and category of the nominations
- There are several categories where the user could choose from, we recommend the following categories which best describes Socotra nomination.
    o Animal Reserve
    o Cave, Grotto
    o Coastline, Cliff
    o Mountain, Volcano, Rocks
    o Nature Conservancy Park
    o Prehistoric natural site
    o Water, Sea, Lake, River
    o Other
- the user could indicate if he would like to be informed about further details for the New7Wonders of Nature.
- At this point the user now is ready to submit the nomination.
- The user will receive an email from New7Wonders of Nature for confirmation, and he has to confirm his nomination by clicking on the link. As soon as the user do this, the nomination will be confirmed.

NOTE:

    * We recommend that users use the following spilling to unite all nominations for Socotra:-

    * Keep in mind that as this is the nomination phase and not yet a vote they want a wide range of sites to help create the most diverse list possible for later voting.
    * The nominations will continue through 08.08.08. Then a panel of experts will create a list of 21candidates from which voters worldwide will elect the 7 wonders of nature.
